Features & Performance
The Quicksteamer 2080 is a lightweight and efficient steam cleaning tool that is easily usable straight out of the box. It features a Dirtlifter PowerBrush and cleaning solutions for surfaces made of fiber. Using the 2080 is very easy. Just fill the half gallon tank with water and use the rotating Powerbrush to clean out carpets. The steamcleaner lifts dirt from deep within the carpets and makes them look fresh and new.
It is recommended that the 2080 be used regularly on the carpets. Regular usage prevents formation of stubborn stains that may require professional cleaning. Using the 2080 on the carpets assures you that stains are removed easily and helps you to save on professional cleaning costs.
Because of its large wheels and easy maneuverability, cleaning carpets doesn't seem to be a chore anymore. The dirt is collected in the easy to empty water tank
Summary
As per user feedback this is a great little cleaner for small homes and small rooms. It does a good job of cleaning up the carpet. Inexpensive, easy to store and convenient to use, the Quicksteamer 2080 replaces a mop and a bucket.
On the flip side users opine that the water in the tank needs to be replaced and the dirty water needs to be emptied, quite frequently. It is recommended that you use a vacuum cleaner to remove dirt from the carpet before you use this tool. Vacuuming will remove lint, pet hair, dirt and allergens. Use this tool after you have vacuumed the carpet.

I have this and I find it better for the attachment aspect than the carpet cleaning feature. It just doesn't seem to do much as a carpet cleaner. If you have spills on chairs or using it on car seats, it does a fair job. But cleaning carpets I am not impressed. It gets it wet, it tries to suck it up, but doesn't exactly clean, and the feature on it I hate is is pools water after you shut the thing off underneath, so you have this mess of a spot to deal with. So is why I rated it low. I have the bissell old type of canister carpet cleaner that is awesome. It has plastic parts that you can't get anymore, which is sad. But that outcleaned anything. You could saturate the stains and it would pull out the stain and the water used...

I thought this would be such a hassle to use, and I was so afraid it wouldn't work, I put off opening it and trying it for a week! Once I decided to give it a try, I put it together and was done using it in under an hour. Very easy and intuitive. Lightweight. Of course, the best part is how it took out the stains and smells from my two cats right away! Carpet looks new again!
Great little machine

Hello, I got this machine to replace a Hoover steam vac. The Hoover was a great machine as well but very heavy and therefore harder to clean, transport and use. Its advantage was a slightly larger footpath but like I said it was a lot heavier. This machine is very light and easy to use and clean. It works very well for a home unit. You do have to go over trouble spots and soiled areas a few times but I was really surprised how clean it got the carpets when I was done. A little effort goes a long way with this machine. If you are looking for a once over cleaning job you should probably just hire someone. I have clean alot of carpets and no at home machines can get everything out in one pass.
Great lightweight machine

I used the Bissell Quicksteamer last week for the first time. It was easy to assemble, a dream to use and I shampooed 16 jute back scatter rugs ranging in size from 2 x 4' to 6 x 8' without a problem. I was happy to realize there was no side spray so I could shampoo carpets in place on my wood floors. It sure beats driving 40 miles to rent a machine that's big and clumsy to use. The last time I borrowed a machine from a friend. It was a horrible experience. The darn thing was too heavy and didn't do a good job, plus I had to haul the carpets out to the patio because water sprayed out the sides. Now I have a great lightweight Bissell and I'm a happy camper.
Because I read many of the reviews I knew to go slow to when extracting the water I did have to refill the water container and empty the dirty water container fairly often, but it was so easy, I didn't mind.
The most inconvenient task was cleaning the machine after use, but with a little patience was able to accomplish a spic and span job.
I love this Bissill and would highly recommend it to anyone.
